Canoe Hire, Kayak Hire and Demos
At Brookbank we hold a large fleet of both Hire and Demo Boats.
We have a stock of Hire Boats and our stock of Whitewater Demos is constantly changing so please call to reserve a demo or hire boat.
We also attend various events and competitions where you may have the chance to try several boats out in the same day or weekend. Please call for details of these events
If you have a club or organisation we may be able to attend an event with a trailer full of boats and run a demo session for you.
White Water Kayak Demos
When considering purchasing a white water kayak trying one before you buy is highly recommended. We hold demo boats of many of the latest designs from these manufacturers:

Kayaks are provided for paddlers with the relevant skill and experience to try on water they are happy and safe paddling on.
White water kayaks £25 per day if taken away from site
We include airbags with Kayak Demos, and a spraydeck if required.
Please note we can supply other equipment for use with WW kayaks at a small charge. White water kayaks are available for a maximum 2 days hire period. If you like the boat you tried we will refund up to two days hire charges against your new kayak purchase within 30 days of your second hire.
Sea & Touring Kayaks for Demo / Hire
We may hire out General Purpose Touring and Sea kayaks to suitably experienced paddlers.
We have demo boats available from the following manufacturers

Open Canoes for Hire / demo
Open Canoes can be used on flat rivers, canals and lakes by anyone from the inexperienced beginner to the seasoned expert wilderness canoe camper.
Our open canoes carry 2 adults plus camping kit easily. A third optional seat can be fitted to some canoes for a passenger or 2 small children. If you do not have a roof rack for transporting a canoe we can supply you with a foam car roof carrying kit or Inflatable Handi Rack which will fit canoes onto most cars giving you the freedom to explore waterways wherever you choose.

How to book
Please call your nearest store to where you intend using the canoe/kayak to check availability and place your booking. Payment is required in advance. Please book in advance to ensure the boat you require is available at the time you want.
You will need to leave us a suitable form of identification such as Driving Licence or Passport. We will also require your credit card details to act as a deposit.
If you require a fleet of boats and large quantity of equipment for a group use we can offer group rates on hires. Please call us for details.
Terms & Conditions of hire
We do not hire kayaks out to complete beginners or inexperienced paddlers. You must assure us of your personal competence and inform us where you intend using the canoe or kayak. You are responsible for your own and the rest of your groups safety.
We will hire out open canoes to inexperienced paddlers once we are satisfied you are aware of the locations appropriate for your use of the canoe.
You are fully responsible for the kayak or canoe throughout the hire period and must ensure your insurance covers loss or damage to sporting goods. Any loss or damage to the boat, or its fittings and components or any other accessories will be charged for in full at the end of hire period. A list of items and their repair or replacement cost is available for viewing at time of hire.
